In Loving Memory of
Eloy "J.R." Saiz Jr.
October 2, 1963 – March 31, 2025

Eloy Saiz Jr., lovingly known as J.R., passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 61 at the Women's Hospital ICU in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A proud resident of Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, J.R. was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, Uncle, Nephew, and friend whose warmth, humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Born on October 2, 1963, J.R. worked as a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. After retirement, he found a new joy in making and selling his famous homemade beef jerky — not just for the love of the craft, but for the connections and friendships it brought him. He was never a stranger for long.

He is survived by his daughters: Jessica Saiz, Jaslin Maciel (and husband Roberto), and Jovonna Saiz; grandchildren: Juan, Mauricio., Jaylene, and Layla; his beloved parents: Lucy and Eloy Saiz Sr.; his sisters: Josie (and husband Louie) and Marline. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles who were more like siblings to him. J.R. now joins his beloved sister, Michelle Saiz, in eternal rest.

J.R. loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren — every moment was precious. He had a special bond with his parents and never hesitated to show his love and support. He was especially close with his uncles, aunts, and nephews, enjoying outdoor adventures, family gatherings, and time well spent.

With a smile that could light up any room and a laugh that was truly contagious, J.R. brought joy wherever he went. He treated everyone he met like family. He never waited to be asked — he was always the first to lend a hand.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his generous heart, joyful spirit, and unwavering love for his family.
