Elizabeth (Liz) Lucero, born May 22, 1948 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Jacob and Charlotte Carian, went home on Monday, June 27, 2022 to be with God and her predeceased family, including her husband of 43 years James Lucero, her parents, her brothers Greg and Peter Carian, and her niece Noelle Carian.
Liz grew up in Milwaukee and moved to Albuquerque with her family in her early teen years. Liz was among Del Norte High School's first graduating class in 1966. She married James in 1967 and they raised four children together.
Liz was involved in numerous networking groups including Above and Beyond Networking, SmartSpider, Trusted Advisors Network (TAN), and the National Organization of Trusted Advisors (NTA). She was a past member of the Armenian Cultural Association, and the Northwest Optimist Club, and a current member of the Cross Stitching Group Turquoise Trail and the New Mexico Crochet Guild.
Liz was a financial advisor for over 30 years and owned Lucero Financial Planning. Liz was generous and kind, valued family, love, and giving back to her community, and was curious about the world and people around her. She had a penchant for pink flamingos, fancy tea, holidays and traveling. She will be missed by so many.
Liz leaves behind her beloved children, Carole Lucero, Michael (Mickey) Lucero, James (Jimmy) Lucero, Melissa (Missy) Minter and husband Rozel (RV); five grandchildren, Victoriana (Tori) Lucero, Mikayla Crites-Lucero, Malaki Minter, Brooklyn Grazier-Lucero, and Markus Minter. Other surviving family members include 3 sisters and 5 brothers, as well as myriad nieces, nephews and cousins and friends who loved and will miss her greatly.
Public Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 619 Copper Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 14 th , 2022 at 6:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 15th at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at givenow.lls.org in honor and celebration of Liz's wonderful life.
