Elizabeth Ann Barbero, age 61, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 18th, 2021, while being held by her loving husband Joseph. She was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico but has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1979.

Liz was an amazing person all around, she was the most loving, caring, and kind person to everyone who was blessed with the opportunity to know her. Her family meant the world to her.

Liz was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Toni Tafoya. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph; her wonderful sons, Joey Barbero and wife Destiny, Marcus Barbero and fiancée Ashley; grandchildren, Acelynn, Ezra, Jazlyn and Micah; brothers, Ernie and Gerald as well as her sisters, Theresa , Georgia, Betty and Helen. Liz will be dearly missed by all of her family as well as the numerous friends she made along the way.

Liz dedicated her life to God so we take solace knowing she is at peace in heaven looking down upon us. The love, kindness and wisdom she spread while with us lives on and will never be forgotten.

Services will be held  at Calvary of Albuquerque, on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 11:00am with reception immediately after.
