Eliseo "Ted"
Benites
Dec 11, 1958 — Apr 11, 2024
Albuquerque
Eliseo "Ted" Benites passed away quite suddenly on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at his residence in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born in Floresville, Texas on December 11, 1958 to parents Frank and Dora (Jaramillo) Benites whom are both deceased.
Ted was an automobile mechanic for a long part of his life in Lubbock. He had a serious fall, injured his back and couldn't make a decent living after that. That injury caused him major mobility issues and physical discomfort in these last few years of his life. If you knew Ted, you understand that he was very much a "free spirit". He lived in several different places before he finally settled down in Albuquerque. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
Ted was the youngest of eight siblings. Our brother, Benny passed away at age 2; our sister, Erlinda passed away in 1965. Ted is survived by two brothers, Frank Jr and Joel, both of San Antonio, TX; his sister, Lisa Gallegos of Albuquerque, and his sisters, Estella Nichols, Eloisa "Lolly" Rangel, and Esther Benitez all of Lubbock, TX He is also survived by his children, Byron Grant Benitez of Ft Worth, Courtney Desiree Smith of Pennsylvania, twins Ramon Anthony and Matthew Eliseo of Lubbock and Katalina Rodriguez of Odessa. All five children were born in Lubbock.
At a future date, to be announced, we will have a graveside service and bury his ashes with his parents at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery in Woodrow, Texas.
