In Loving Memory of

Elise Marie Williamson

April 15, 1962 – October 12, 2025

Elise passed away peacefully at home due to a lengthy illness on the morning of October 12, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents Helen Pappas Williamson and Charles Noel Williamson. Elise is survived by her brother Leslie Albert Williamson, sister Sylvia Ann Williamson, and numerous cousins. She is survived by four nieces and one nephew (Jarret Williamson, Corinna and Mariah Williamson-Moore, Sylina Peterson and Rachel Olney).

Elise grew up in the near north valley of Albuquerque, NM, in a neighborhood historically known as Los Candelarias. Her family lived in a large old adobe that included two irrigated acres and was a small farm at that time. She developed her love of horses and other farm animals during this time, as her father first placed her up on a horse at the age of two. She went on to become a skilled horse woman as a teenager, learning and competing in English style horse riding,

Her employment included years of video store management as her boss trusted her to open a video store in Samoa. She returned to NM with lively tales of her time there. She later obtained a degree in education and worked as an elementary teacher in the south valley of Albuquerque and Bosque Farms, NM. This was a short-lived career as her health began to decline at this time.

Elise maintained close friendships with childhood friends that continued until she passed away. She shared that she was "popular" in high school for standing up to her teachers (and then she became one!). Elise was known for her love of cats over the years, and a good home has been found with one of her caregivers for her remaining cat, Lily.

Special thanks to her kind and nurturing caregivers, of Envision, providing support for her until the end. Thanks to the staff at Cardinal Trust for facilitating her care. Her family offers thanks to neighbor Jimmy to the east and neighbor Lorraine across the street for their special support and care for Elise.  A special mention and note of gratitude to Duke City Recovery Toolbox for their support and care of Elise as well. Elise will be missed by all who knew and loved her. An informal memorial gathering will be held at a future date.
