Edward "Lalo" Sanchez Mendibles was born February 12, 1927. He passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
Lalo was born in Hayden, Arizona and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He Honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, loved spending time with his family and enjoyed working on automobiles and doing lawn equipment repairs.
Lalo is survived by his sons, Eddie Mendibles and his wife Theresa of Rio Rancho, NM and Joe Lockhart of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers, Manuel Mendibles and his wife Helen of Alabama, Johnny Mendibles and his wife Sandi of Norwalk, California; sisters, Virginia Hanks of Hemet, California, Josephine Galindo of Hemet, California, Lydia Lugo and husband Guillermo of Hemet, California, Cindy Diaz and husband David of Downey, California; grandchildren, Armando Mendibles, Candice Mendibles, Kristina Mendibles, Eric Gross, Andrea Hobson and husband Kevin, Alicia Johnson and husband Eric, Samuel Drennan, Mary Coldwell, Doug Lockhart and wife Laura, Jodi Lockhart-Gardner and husband William, Benjamin Sandoval and wife Brooklyne, Matthew Sandoval and wife Genessa, and Alysha Sandoval; nine great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss him.
Lalo was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Mendibles; father, Encarnacion; mother, Virginia Mendibles; brothers, Albert Mendibles, David Mendibles, Alice Gonzales and Connie Contreras.
A Celebration of Life Services will be held at His Place Ministries, 5505 Central, NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1:30p.m.
The Burial will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Friday, December 9, 2021 at 9:00a.m, with US Air Force Honors.
