Eddie-Eduardo M. Sanchez November 15, 1954-December 19, 2022

Eddie, age 68 of the Village of Los Ranchos, New Mexico passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022, at home, surrounded by his family and friends.

Eddie was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and raised in the Village of Los Ranchos, NM.

Eddie had been sick for a long time and succumbed to his illness. He was loved by his family and friends and always wished he could do more in life.

In his younger years he worked at Coca-Cola, Duke City Lumber and eventually retired from Mendoza Construction as a cement finisher. Eddie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Eddie especially loved his little Chihuahuas who stayed by his side day and night, Muffin and Cosita.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 34 years, Maggie; his daughter, Leticia F. Martinez and husband Kenneth Paul; his son, Andre J. Sanchez; sisters, Virginia Chambers and  Frances Aranda; brother-in-law, Frank Mendoza and  Richard Reyes; sisters-in-law, Patricia Gutierrez and Robert, Georgia Reyes-Schmitt, Elizabeth Reyes, Theresa Haure and Pierre, Sandra Reyes-Sanchez and Alex;  favorite nephew, Steven J. Dimas; god-daughter, Lindsey L. Reyes; ten grandchildren, Chelsea, Paul, Dominic, Aleigha, Isaiah, Andre Jr, Andrew, Adrean, Adreanna and Andreus; three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Lola and Emmie; as well as many nieces and nephews, who loved and will miss him.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Eduardo L. Sanchez and Regina;  paternal grand-parents, Remeijo Sanchez and Avelina Lucero Sanchez; maternal grandparents, Manual Sanchez and Luz Apodaca Sanchez; sisters, Avelina (Abbie) Gonzales and Betty (Annie) Mendoza; brothers-in-law, Max Gonzales, Andrew Aranda, Don Schmitt and Mike Chambers and by his grandson, Elijah David Martinez.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Compasses Hospice Group, Roxanne, Hannah, Genevie, Jordan, Josh, Lori, Will and Krystal, for all the care and gentleness they provided to Eddie.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday January 13, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church located at 9502 4 ^th Street NW, Albuquerque, NM  87114.  A Mass will follow at 9:00 a.m.  Refreshments will be served at the Parish Hall following the mass.  Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 7813 Edith Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM, at 2:00 p.m.
