Doris G. Cortez

Doris went to her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 27, 2022. She was born on January 8,1979 in Seminole Texas, to Epifanio B. Cortez and Inez G. Cortez.

Doris lived in Albuquerque since 1997. She will be remembered for being a very forgiving, kind, compassionate, humble and caring woman with a big heart. She is deeply loved by her family and friends.

Doris enjoyed caring for her pet dog, Baby Boy. She believed deeply in the Lord and always let everyone know that she prayed for them every day. Doris was most happy when she cared for Baby Boy and being with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Silva Cortez, Steven Tesillo, and Louis Cortez.

Doris is survived by siblings, Albert Tesillo and his wife, Norma Tesillo, Mary King and husband, Jimmy King, Christina Tesillo and partner, Dee Therrien, Epifanio Cortez Jr. and wife, Marlo Cortez, Eva Velasquez and husband, Eligio Velasquez, Monica Sikes and husband, Jeremy Sikes, Regina Coker and husband, Justin Coker and many nieces and nephews.

Doris will be greatly missed.

The memorial services for Doris will be held at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town on Saturday, August 6, 2022. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am.  The interment will take place at a later date and will be announced.
