Doris Jacquelyn
Armijo
Jul 2, 1938 — May 27, 2024
Los Ranchos
Jackie Armijo passed away peacefully in her beloved home on May 27, 2024. Jackie was born on July 2, 1938 in Denton, Texas to Iris and John "Jack." She married Marcial "Larry" and together they had their first son John. After relocating to Albuquerque, they had their other children, Christy and Michael, who have all remained in Albuquerque. Jackie was also blessed with grandchildren; Autumn and Marcial, and Melissa and Corey. Her great grandchildren are Emilie and Scarlett.
During her life, Jackie had many passions. She was a talented and successful interior designer, owning Interiors by Jacquelyn and decorating homes, businesses, and restaurants all around New Mexico. She was frequently recognized by Who's Who in Interior Design for her work. She loved hosting parties, was a member of the Garden Club, and was a witty and charismatic storyteller with a sharp sense of humor. She loved musicals and old Hollywood, especially Gone with the Wind . She had vacation homes in Taos and Durango where many good times were shared with family and friends. Later in life, she owned a Subway, and became very active in the animal rescue community. Jackie was probably best known for her love of dogs, loving many over her lifetime.
Jackie's vibrant sprit and larger than life personality will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
