Donny J Garcia was born December 28, 1951 and passed away on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24th 2020.

My sweetie pie fought a long painful battle with colon cancer and he was surrounded by our love and will be missed dearly as I listened to our children and our close friends and relatives speak about my Donny their father, their stepdad their friend or relative. I felt the warmth of their words as they speak of his patience, his generosity, his understanding, his forgiving ways, the way he never came empty-handed or never came without offering a helping hand of some kind, always with a kind word and a beautiful big smile, always thinking of how and what he could do for someone to make their day better or easier.

His wish when he died was to serve God as an archangel and to fight evil for mankind.  I believe he is fulfilling that wish now.

Donny has since been able to join his son, Joseph Adam Garcia; father, Donato Garcia; mother, Margaret Lucero and niece, Carla Garcia in heaven.

Those of us who survived my love are his four brothers, Alex Garcia and wife Dolores, Sammy Garcia and wife Juanita, Arthur Garcia, Mario Garcia and wife Juana; spouse, Kathleen A. Garcia; son, Gerald Garcia and wife Jolene; daughter, Jennifer Caldwel and husband Ray; step-children, Joe and wife Larina, Robert Chavez and wife Rosalina, Richard Gonzales and wife Amber, Donny, Kathleen Hampsten and husband Jose Abel; grandchildren, Nathan, Olivia, Dominick, Derek, Deker, Ryan, Andrew, Larissa, Vanessa (Sergio), Sophia, Chris (Alyssa), Ethan, Everett, KC, Hunter and Ximena. Donny also leaves many nieces and nephews cousins and uncles. God bless you all.

A Rosary will be recited by Carolyn Lujan at Saint Bernadette's Catholic Church on Thursday, January 21st at 6:00 p.m.. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 22nd at 10:00 a.m. There is a 75 person capacity limit for Saint Bernadette's. (11509 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112).
