Donald Gene Gibson, age 84, "Hoot" to some, "Don" to most, was called home by the LORD Saturday, December 5, 2020 after a long ailment.

Don graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1955 and honorably served in the Army National Guard. He retired from Western Electric (AT&T).

Always willing to help, he volunteered his time and service at St Charles Borromeo with the Holy Name Society and with the Dominican Retreat House for years and was an active member of the Praise and Worship Center in Albuquerque, where he lived for 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie; by his father, Omer; brothers, W.O., Phillip and Frances and by his spouse, Leana.

Don is survived by his son, Jay; grandchildren, Jaime and Ajay; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss him.

There are no scheduled services due to Covid concerns. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Praise and Worship Center, 3044 Isleta SW ABQ NM 87105 in his memory. He is pain free and walking now in paradise.
