Donaciano Eloy Trujillo "Danny" was born in El Paso, Texas on September 14, 1947. He passed away unexpectedly and suddenly, on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his home in Albuquerque.

Danny was a longtime musician who will be fondly remembered for his love of music and his great talent of being able to play the trumpet and the bass simultaneously. He was an excellent musician and a great influence to so many other musicians.

Danny Honorably served his country in the US Army.  He later worked for the city of Albuquerque for 25 years retiring from the Building and Maintenance Division.

He was a fantastic carpenter who could make anything, recently making a beautiful decorative box for his wife, Geri's, nail polish collection. As a pass time, Danny thoroughly enjoyed watching boxing. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Lillian Trujillo. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Geri Trujillo of the family home; beloved son, Cid (Abel) Trujillo and wife Christine; beloved sisters, Evelyn "Lammie" Gomez, Margie Marez and husband Larry; loving brother, Gabe Trujillo; grandson, Gabriel; as well as other family members and friends who mourn his passing.

Services will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW. on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 9:00 am with US Army Honors. Live playing of the taps will be handled by fellow musician and longtime friend, Al Bourguet. Due to COVID restrictions seating is limited to the family members and close friends who have been invited.

A private family interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, where he will be interred with his beloved wife, Geri.
