Dolores Lucia Lucero, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14th, 2025 at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Born on September 22nd, 1941 in Adelino, New Mexico, Dolores dedicated her life to caring for her family with quiet strength, deep love, and unmatched devotion. She was the heart of her home—known for her beauty and her gentle, loving presence.

She married the love of her life, Jose F. E. Lucero, and together they built a life centered on faith, tradition, and family. Dolores was happiest at home, caring for her loved ones, dancing at summer fiestas, or enjoying peaceful moments on her porch.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jose F. E. Lucero; her children, Corrine Bandera, Sonia Lucero, Quiterita Simms and April Lucero; her sister, Lugie Gutierrez; and many extended family and friends who will carry her legacy of love.

A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at San Jose De Los Duranes Church on Friday, July 25th, 2025. The Rosary will be recited at 10: 00 am and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. The burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Dolores will be remembered for her grace, devotion, and the love she gave so freely. She was the glue of our family and will be deeply missed.
