Desiree Marisa Mota was tragically taken from us at the age of 25.

Desiree's life was full of adventure, laughter, unconditional love and let's not forget mischief. Desiree was a beautiful soul who loved hard and was always there for those who needed her.  I remember one time when she was running late to get home, she said to me,  "but mom she needs me and I don't want her to be alone. " That's the kind of person Desiree was. She was proud to know that she could make a difference in people's lives.

Desiree's greatest accomplishment was her daughter Lilly. She was so proud of how smart and beautiful Lilly is and would brag to anyone that would listen.  She loved Lilly more than life itself.

Desiree sure was a firecracker but she was also thoughtful,  funny and quick witted with her hilarious OR at times sarcastic remarks.  Her humor was like no other.

And although Desiree was no stranger to life's struggles, she always enjoyed making people laugh.

Unapologetically herself,  Desi lived life on her own terms. And if you got to meet her,  you didn't soon forget her.

Her presence was so big that her absence is so deeply felt. So when you find yourself outside, taking a break, reminisce on all the happy times. Remember her laugh,  Remember her smile and Remember her beautiful eyes.

Desiree is survived by her daughter, Lilly; Robert, Lilly's dad; her parents, Javier and Angela; her older sister, Dalaina, Perla (sister in law); nephew Julian; her younger sister, Ali, Anthony (brother in law) and nieces, Gracie and baby Angela (who we will get to meet in May); her God sister, Jovonny and so many others that loved her and will miss her greatly.

Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1860 Griegos Rd NW, Albuquerque NM 87107, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. The Rosary will be recited at 10:30. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00, with a reception will follow in the Parish Hall. A private burial will take place for the family at a later date.
