Delcie Eloisa Maes, 74, was sent home to be with our Lord on Friday, October 16 ^th , 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Delcie was born on August 1 ^st , 1946 in Taos, New Mexico to Juan and Eloisa Romero.  Delcie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She loved dearly and lived faithfully for her family.  Delcie was a devout Catholic at St. Mary's in Bloomfield.  She was happily married for 52 years to her husband.  Family was the most important thing to her.  She loved most when she had all her grandkids with her.  Grandma Delcie was their biggest fan and supported them in all they did.  She was very proud of her kids and their families.

Delcie was preceded in death by her son, Paul Maes Jr; her parents, Juan and Eloisa Romero; infant sister, Lillian; her loving sister, Guera Martinez; her in-laws, David and Estefanita Maes and her brother-in-law, Pete Maes.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Maes Sr; daughters, Lisa Burnham and husband Eric, Eloisa Gutierrez and husband Terran; son, Dale Maes and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy, DJ, Celina, Terran Jr. and Santana; sisters, Tita Trujillo and husband Art, Kathy Romo and husband Fernando; brothers, Juan Romero, Max Romero, Ricardo Romero and wife Bernadette;   sister-in-law, Lena Sanchez and husband Louis; along with many nieces, nephews, and many other relatives who loved and will miss her greatly.

Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 307 N. Church Street, Bloomfield New Mexico, 87413, on Saturday, October 31 ^st , 2020.  A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. The funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Unfortunately, due to current state mandates; masks must be worn, social distancing is required and limited seating is available.
