Deborah (Debbie) Tortelli, nee Short was born April 5, 1953 in Oceana, West Virginia. She passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15th, 2023 in her home at the age of 70.

Debbie enjoyed crafts and spending time with her friends and family. She really loved making bows and sharing them with other people. She enjoyed romance and horror novels, TV shows and movies. Most of all she adored her granddaughter, Alexis. Debbie will be remembered as a treasured friend, mother, grandmother and aunt who was greatly loved. She made friends wherever she went. Debbie will be remembered as an unforgettable and loving person who left a footprint on our hearts.

Debbie is survived by her husband, John Tortelli; her children Nicole Tortelli; Jessica Frehse and husband Curtis Frehse; and grandchild, Alexis Frehse. Additionally, Debbie is survived by 3 sisters Theresa McGraw, Susan Baily and husband Alvie Dean Baily, Rebecca Daniels and husband Jobie Danieles; and 1 brother Tim Short; and many nieces and nephews. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edison and Joyce Short; her grandmother, Juanita (Granny) Jackson, and by her sisters, Tammy Short and Dreama Wright.

In accordance with Debbie's wishes, she has been cremated and will rest peacefully in the Morgan Family Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023 in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services at 2919 4Th Northwest, Albuquerque, NM 87107 with a burial to follow in October 2023 in the Morgan Family Cemetery in Fanrock, West Virginia.
