Daniel Flores, age 63, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on May 7, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born on April 1, 1962, in Harlingen, Texas, Daniel was the beloved son of David Tomas Flores (Tita) and Maria Guadalupe Peña-Ybarra (Louis), who survive him.

A lifelong entrepreneur and skilled craftsman, Daniel was the proud owner and operator of Quic Transmissions in Albuquerque for over 30 years. As a master transmission rebuilder and technician expert, he was respected in his field and known throughout the community for his dedication, honesty, and expertise.

Daniel had a passion for classic cars and spent countless hours restoring them with precision and pride. He was also an avid sports memorabilia collector, cherishing the stories and memories behind each item. What he loved most, however, was spending time with his family—especially during lively gatherings and backyard barbecues filled with laughter and love.

He is survived by his former wife, Coleen Hess; and their children, Daniel Flores and wife Kimberly, and Christina and husband Keith Dominguez. He was a proud grandfather to Diona Flores Middleton and husband Cade, Hannah, Elijah, Grace Flores, Trinity Alires, and Keith Dominguez Jr.

Daniel is also survived by his siblings, David Flores Jr., the late DeeAnn Schertz (Cliff), Denise Vojtech (Dominic), Doreen Burton (Scott), Michael Flores (Sheila), Monica Muñoz (Jerry), Charles Flores, Rachel Peguero (Alex), Manuel Art Ramirez (Elaine), Monica Ramirez John Butterfield (Jamie), Jacquelyn Payne (Doug), and Josh Rodriguez (Andrea).

He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many lifelong friends who will carry on his memory.

Daniel will be remembered for his big heart, his unmatched skill in his trade, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply and the community he served with pride.

A Life Celebration will be held in honor of Daniel on Monday, June 9, 2025, 10:30 am at Triumph Centre Church, located at 7800 Holbrook St NE, 87122.
