Cresencio Martinez was born on the 19th of April in 1937 from Jose A. C. Martinez and Rita Aragon. He died on the 19th of January 2022 at the age of 84. Cresencio grew up in Anton Chico, N.M. and tragically lost his mother at the age of five. He we raised by his grandmother, Marina Nelson and Cleophus Rael, and deeply loved living in Anton Chico.
Cresencio met the love of his life, Lydia Sena, at Santa Rosa high school. After high school they were married on the 13th of March of 1957. He enlisted in the United States Air Force shortly after his marriage and was honorably discharged in 1962. He had many creative endeavors such as jewelry making, clock-making and carpentry, which he loved the most.They had seven beautiful, loving, and successful children, Max, Rita, Judith, Albert, Charlyne, Monique, and Nicole; five grandchildren, Ashley, Joshua, Montana, Zachary, and Andrew, and three great-grandchildren, Laylani, Able, and Cristiano, to keep his legacy alive. His two brothers, Ruben and Flavio Martinez, preceded him in death.
They always knew him as the loving and playful Pompo who loved his sweet treats and loved his family even more.The service to honor Cresencio's life will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, on Friday, February 4th, 2022. There will a viewing at 10:00 am followed by a rosary and eulogy from his grandson, Joshua Martinez. The Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 11:00 am.

Cresencio will be interred in Anton Chico on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 10:30 am.
