Claudine Charlotte Lowe-Kotkin was born on June 7th, 1926 in Mexia, Texas to Claude and Thelma Shugart. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, August 3rd 2022 at home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her "Knight in Shining Armor", Arnold Lowe, her second husband, Leonard Kotkin, and her two sons, Jon and Rick Lowe. She is survived by her children, Carol Peters (Dean), Dennis Lowe (Mary), Phillip Lowe (Linda), Wendy Yount (Tom), and Lily Flowers (Ralph). Claudine Charlotte, better known as "Grandma C.C.", proudly had the following grandchildren: Melissa Stevens (Joel), Nathan Peters (Maryanne), Rachael Matcalf (Wayne), Sara Peters Gardner, Kii Lowe, Denia Griego, Matt Lowe (Veronica), Mikah Wuorinen (Albert), Gabe Lowe (Leslie), Cheyanne Thomison (Chris), Charity Elgringham (Bear), Grace Fravel (Donovan), Hope Yount, Joy Yount, and Glory Pechonis (Zach). Her great-grandchildren included: Tiffani Wilhelm, Shaina Peters, Raegan Peters, Synai Gardner, Maisie Metcalf, Devyne Lowe, Damian Lowe, Deann Lowe, Olivia Lowe, Demy Griego, Joena Griego, Gabriella Wuorinen, Naomi Wuorinen, Isabella Wuorinen, Noah Wuorinen, Waylon Lowe, Tatum Lowe, Harmony Lowe, Kaidyn Lowe and two great-great-grandchildren Max and Julian Wilhelm. Claudine was well known for "Adopting" many more due to her ability to befriend anyone she met. She also leaves behind her fur babies Molly, Snowflake, and Bella. Claudine was very much a romantic at heart; finding much joy in sending and receiving cards along with handwritten letters. It was important for her to remember everyone's birthday and show her affections through a personal card. She is described as classy, hip, and an All-American girl. Claudine Charlotte Lowe-Kotkin left behind a legacy that is deeply felt by those that had the honor and pleasure of knowing her. A celebration of life will be held at Direct Funeral Services on Tuesday, August 9th, 2022 from 2-3:30pm.
