In Loving Memory of

Christopher Gilbert Garcia "Chris"

October 11, 1976 – June 17, 2025

Chris was born October 11, 1976 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Gilbert and Virginia Garcia. He passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, taken from us too soon.

Chris loved to draw. He loved art he was super talented in it, something we all admired. As well he enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and watching movies. Chris wanted the people around him to enjoy life and make the most of their time together. Mainly, though, he loved driving around in his 2017 Chrysler 300; that really was one of his favorite things to do.

He will always be remembered as the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back if that's all he had and not think twice about it. He also loved everybody unconditionally and put others needs before his own. Chris always wanted to make sure his family was cared for, especially his mom, Virginia Lantis and he was a protective big brother to his blind sister Christella Garcia, helping her find independence and encouraging her to experience life fully. He was very loved and will be greatly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.

Chris cared deeply for his children, Kristen, Maria, and Santiago. He worked hard to be with them and always talked about how proud he was of each of them, loving them for who they are. The time he spent with them in California meant everything to him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lupita Trujillo Garcia; his brother, Fred Saiz and by his father, Gilbert Garcia.
Chris is survived by his mother, Virginia Lantis; his children, Kristen, Maria and partner Thomas and Santiago; his sisters, Christella Garcia and partner Joe Hamilton and Michelle Saiz; his brothers, Danny Gallegos and Michael Saiz; as well as other family members and friends who will remember him in their hearts forever.
