It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the death of our father, Charles Duane Aldrich "Chuck". He passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 and has left a big hole in our hearts. He is now with our mother, Joan Marie Aldrich, who passed away September 18, 2024.

Charles Duane Aldrich "Chuck" was born on January 19, 1936 in Jamestown, New York.  Growing up in Jamestown, he was a star pitcher in High School and had several major league teams scouting him. In 1953 he met his beloved wife, Joan and they were married in 1958. Their 2 sons, Chris and Craig were born in 1963 and 1964. Together, the family moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1965 where Charles worked in the Trucking Business. To make a better life for his family, they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he opened Jewelers Repair Shop in 1973. The business remains open today and is currently operated by his son Craig and his wife, Laura.

Over the 50 years they lived in Albuquerque, they made many life-long friends and a lifetime of great memories. He will be greatly missed.

Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Joan Marie Aldrich.

He is survived by two sons, Chris Aldrich of Las Vegas, Nevada, Craig Aldrich and wife Laura of Corrales New Mexico and her two daughters, Calley and Hayden; brother, Jim Galloway of Bemus Point, New York; his brother-in-law, Reggie Carlson and wife Kathy of Jamestown, New York; as well as other family members and many friends who loved and will miss him greatly.

Memorial Services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 7701 Candelaria Rd. NE., on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00 am.
