Cecilia Sylvia Parra, 70 years old, passed away peacefully in her home while surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, January 29, 2023. Sylvia lived her life fully and found a passion for Yoga and always enjoyed her wonderful grandchildren.

Sylvia is survived by her longtime companion, Alvin Vigil; children, Frankie Parra and wife Andrea Parra, Monica Parra and Nicole Vigil. She also leaves behind her 10 beautiful grandchildren, Matthew Parra, Samantha Parra, Miranda Betancourt, Dominique Parra, Jesse Parra, Madisen Parra, Xavier Betancourt, Max Parra, Jessica Parra and Prescott Vigil. As the oldest sibling of 5, she leaves behind, Irlene Suter, Marty Lopez and Bernadette Warnemunde.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecilio and Margaret Lopez; sibling, Drucella "Chata" Peralta; son, Jesse "Jesse Boy" Parra and by her granddaughter, Gabriella Parra.

Services will be held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 85 NM-344, Edgewood, NM 87015, on Friday, February 3, 2023. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. The Interment will follow at the Martinez Cemetery in Edgewood, NM.
