Catherine Marie Grannis, lovingly known as "Cathy," entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. She was born on August 23, 1948, in Northfield, Minnesota, the youngest of eight children to Robert and Dorothy Langdon. The family later settled in Rochester, Minnesota.
Cathy met Glenn Bornfleth and married shortly after high school, welcoming two children together before later divorcing.
On her birthday in 1995, Cathy met the love of her life, Thomas Grannis, at Mesa College in San Diego, California. They were married on January 18, 1997, and in 2020, made their forever home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, along with their beloved and spoiled dog, Bella.

Cathy is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas; her children, daughter, Theresa Stromness and husband Dean and their children, Andrew (Ashley), Wyatt (Colton), Jorden (Collin), and Aubrey (Dan), all of Minnesota; sons, Craig Bornfleth and wife Tracy, and their children, Taylor (Brody) and Cole, all of Arizona; Wesley Falany and wife Wendi and their child, Shayd all of Colorado Springs, CO; greatgrandchildren, Hudson, Hunter, and a baby girl expected in October. She is also survived by her siblings, Archie Langdon and wife Carol, Thomas Langdon and wife Kathy, and Sharon Lynch; along with many other cherished family members.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Raymond Langdon (Sandy) and Dennis Langdon (Marylou); and her sisters, Mary Williams (Calvin) and Toni Sinnott (Michael) and by her brother-in-law, Mark Lynch.
She will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery, on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm, honoring her connection to veterans. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at the Max Coll Corridor Community Center, 16 Avenida Torreon, Santa Fe, NM 87508, on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
