Catherine "Katie" Cusack

Catherine Cusack, a proud resident of the South Valley of Albuquerque and native of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on December 10th after a life filled with passion, purpose, and authenticity.

Katie was a dedicated cardiac charge nurse who gave her all to caring for others and challenging authority.  Outside of her career, she found happiness in gardening, caring for animals, and hiking in nature's beauty. A loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, she was outspoken in her support, even if their losses often left her disappointed —her fiery commentary becoming a cherished part of game day for those who knew her.

Unapologetically herself, Katie lived life on her own terms, embracing her independence and vibrant spirit. Her honesty, generosity, and humor left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of her life will be held at Legacy Academy, 6900 Los Volcanes Rd. ABQ, NM 87121, on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to St Jude or the ASPCA in Katie's  memory.
