In Loving Memory of
Carolyn Jean Salazar
December 26, 1970- August 16, 2026
Carolyn Jean Salazar, age 55, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Carolyn was born December 26, 1970 and was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She leaves behind a family who will never forget her funny, strong-willed, and creative spirit.
Carolyn threw her whole heart into everything she did. She spent her time diligently studying the Bible, and diving into a good conspiracy theory. Carolyn had a passion of playing volleyball, coaching youth sports, and cooking up something amazing in the kitchen. Of all her joys, nothing made her happier than sitting on the sidelines cheering at her grandchildren’s soccer games.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her father, Timothy Salazar. Carolyn is survived by her mother, Sally Bryant; stepfather, Larry Bryant; brother, Kevin Salazar; sister, Patricia Thompson (Greg); daughters, Alexandra Garcia (Modesto), Sasha Lima (Joshua) and Talia Thomas (Spencer), along with 5 grandchildren.
The funeral service honoring Carolyn’s life will be held at United Bible Fellowship Church- 4012 2nd St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Following the service, the burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Kevin Salazar, Greg Thompson, Johnny Bryant, Alex Portillo, Spencer Thomas and Eden Copping
We invite friends and family to join us afterward for a reception at United Bible Fellowship Church at 3:00 p.m. to share memories and celebrate her life.
*At Carolyn’s request, please skip the traditional black attire. Please wear fun
and bright colors, as we celebrate her life and joyous reunion with God.
