Caroline Yvonne Moody, born on May 29, 1964, in Albuquerque, NM, was called to be with our Lord on March 16, 2025. Her journey on earth was not always an easy one but she was always ready to laugh and had an unwavering love for her family and especially loved animals.

As a mother, Caroline was a force of nature—her five daughters were her heart's delight, and her love for them was immeasurable. They were her pride, her joy, and the very essence of her life. Though she is no longer with us, her love for them will live on, as eternal as the stars in the sky.

Caroline was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Rosemarie Blea Montoya; her father, Johnny Montoya; her sister, Roseanne Tracey; and her nephew, Carl L. Montoya, all of whom she loved dearly. Their spirits now rest together, as Caroline watches over her family with the same fierce love that defined her time on earth.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Robert Moody, and her five precious daughters: Jamie Rios (husband Alfredo) of Rio Rancho, Christine Perez (husband Jason) of Denver, Maryrose Moody Valdez (husband Steven) of Denver, Rita Poitra (husband J.J.) of Denver, and Roberta Moody of Albuquerque. Her memory will forever live on through her grandchildren—David, Hope, Timothy, Ryan, Isabelle, Jason Jr., Adrian, Rinoa, Zelda, Mariah, L.J. Jr., and Andrea—who were the twinkle in her eye and the joy in her heart.

Caroline is also survived by her Godparents, Carlos and Rita Atencio, her brothers John and Carl Montoya, her mother-in-law Mary Helen Lopez, and many loving relatives and friends, all of whom will feel her absence profoundly.

Though Caroline's presence on this earth has ended, her spirit will forever linger in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A celebration of her life will be planned for a future date in May 2025.
