Carl Douglas Booth
Our beloved Carl Douglas Booth, a master bricksman and US Army Veteran, 72, departed peacefully on May 16 th , 2022. Surrounded by loved ones, Doug ended his struggle with chronic obstruction pulmonary disease (COPD).
Born August 11 th , 1949 in Albuquerque, Doug went on to serve in Viet Nam before settling first in Oregon, and then Edgewood (NM) where he spent most of his life, carving out his unique vision of a rural homestead. His professional and creative masonry work is evident at his home, and throughout New Mexico and beyond.
Doug Enjoyed miles of open roads, exploring mountains, rivers and oceans while listening to an impressive list of diverse music artists from jazz to rock.
Those who will miss Doug most include: his wife of 54 years Carla Booth, his two daughters and their families Jennifer Witten (husband Mike and daughter Isabel Witten) and Alicia Booth (husband Matthew Losneck and children Miles and Rheya,) along with his brother Richard Booth and his wife Sara, and sister-in law Loretta Booth and many friends and family, all of whom he loved dearly.
He is preceded by his parents Carl and Charlotte Booth, and brother Edward Booth.

A graveside service will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 12:30 pm. Please arrive no later than 12:15 pm as the cemetery has a very strict time policy.
