Brandon Robert Foster was born July 4th, 2000 at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. Our beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend passed away on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021 in a horrific hiking accident at La Luz Trail in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Brandon will be remembered as a smart, witty, kind young man with a bright future ahead of him. He was a full-time computer engineering student at CNM and planned on transferring to UNM to complete his degree.

Brandon graduated from Independence High School on May 19 ^th , 2018. His favorite class was his agriculture class. He regularly helped his teacher take care of the class chickens, commenting on how it was because the biggest nugget looked so tasty. He had quite the sense of humor and always made us laugh! He loved reading, playing computer games, and listening to '80s music. He researched everything that caught his attention to expand his world.

Brandon is survived by his parents, Bob and Shara Foster; his siblings, Brittainy, Dori, Zac, and Greg Foster; his maternal grandparents, Ed Loman and Sue Schwetz, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family across the United States who will love and miss him deeply.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho located at 3906 19th Avenue SE, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on Saturday, June 12th , 2021 at 11:00 am. For our family and friends in Nebraska, a memorial service will held at Heritage Hill Church of the Nazarene located at 6909 Cornhusker Road in Papillion, Nebraska on Saturday, June 19 ^th , 2021 at 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the New Mexico Search and Rescue Council (NMSARC). They were essential in locating and retrieving Brandon for us. Donations can be made online at NMSARC and reference SAR mission number, SAR21-048.
