Betty June LaRue Parent Edmondson was born April 9, 1928 in Webb City, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Betty had a career that spanned many years.  She was employed at various banks as well as businesses as a bookkeeper, until she realized her dream of starting her own business, Parent Tax Service, which she enjoyed for many years.

Betty had a love for God and she spent her life in service to Him through her music ministry, whether it was by playing the piano for her church, or visiting nursing homes and ministering through song with her accordion. She was a prayer warrior, and she was a prayer partner to many and was always willing to answer the call of anyone who needed her for prayer support or a song or a word of encouragement. She brightened the lives of everyone who came in contact with her and will be missed greatly.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Joe LaRue and Mabel McNair LaRue; brothers:  Rex, Warren, Billy Joe and Ray; sisters, Lorene LaRue Earp and Emma Jean LaRue Nicolls; husbands, John Pettis, James Parent and Walter Edmondson and by her son-in-law, Thomas Undieme.

Betty is lovingly survived by her daughter, Sheryl Pettis Undieme;  sister, Erma LaRue Scrivner;  grandson,  Jeffery Undieme; granddaughter, Elaine Undieme; great grandson,  Adrian Undieme; as well as many nieces and nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss her greatly.

Private family services have taken place.
