Bernie Clarence Duran, Jr, 70, of Bernalillo, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2025, after a hard fought battle with cancer.

He had great pride in his fulfilling and exciting career with the FBI, spanning more than three decades. Upon retirement, he enjoyed visiting family, friends and working in his yard and garden. He continued his professional connections as the Treasurer of the New Mexico Society of FBI Alumni. He enjoyed hosting parties with family/friends, good food, fun, music and dancing. From his infectious laugh to all-encompassing friendship, to know him was to love him.

His grandsons were his pride and joy; his love for them was more than anyone could imagine. He spent much of his free time throughout the years watching them play baseball, and other sports. Regardless of the outcome, he was always there to provide love and support.
