Benjamin "Ben" Robert Hefter

December 27 ^th , 1992 - January 27 ^th , 2023

Ben was born on the 27 ^th of December, 1992 to mother, Rose Garcia and father, Robert Hefter. His beautiful soul went home on the 27 ^th of January, 2023 at the age of 30 years old.

Ben was always a funny, loving, athletic, and extremely musical person who cared deeply about the people in his life. Ben's main passion in life was his music and he expressed this passion through playing several instruments including the piano, drums, and guitar. He would create his own songs as well as play in accompaniment with other musicians and bands. Ben deeply loved nature and always desired a simple life away from the stresses of the modern world. He also loved animals, children, and delicious food.

Ben may have had a hard life but he overcame adversity and worked very hard to accomplish his goals. He graduated with a BA in Psychology and went on to become an Educational Assistant for children with special needs. Ben had a unique and wonderful sense of humor as well as a beautiful mind that evoked many interesting conversations. He was, is, and will forever be loved immensely: forever and always.

Ben is lovingly survived by his parents, Robert and Rose; younger sister, Sarah (Hefter) Sandoval and older siblings Arthur Hefter, Rene Lopez, Chris Lopez and spouse Natalie Lopez. His other family included many cousins, uncles, and aunts who he loved and by whom he will be greatly missed. We miss you so very much Ben. We cannot wait to see you again someday.

Services will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4 ^th St NW, Albuquerque on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. The visitation will begin at 7:30 am. The Rosary will be recited at 8:00 am and the Mass of Christian Burial,  in his honor, will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Interment will then take place at San Carlos Cemetery on Alameda. This will be followed by a reception at Nativity Hall, in the same parking lot as the church.
