Benjamin J Romero

June 13, 1960 – September 30, 2025

In loving memory of Ben Romero, a loving husband and proud father to his two sons. Ben taught his children the values of love, integrity and perseverance and he dedicated his life to his family. His love was steady and selfless, a true reflection of the man he was.

Born in Los Alamos, New Mexico, Ben graduated from Robertson High School and attended Camp Luna College. A longtime resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Monique and by his parents, Jimmy and Junita Romero. He is survived by his wife, Annabelle; sons, Eric and Ramon and their spouses Kathleen (Kat) and Alexandria (Alex); seven cherished grandchildren, Valiant, Vitoria, Randy, Anna, Marisa, Mia, and Tino; siblings, Juan (Julie), Jamie (Kathy) and Cecilia (Steve Evjen); along with aunts, Tia Nena Baldonado and Tia Silva Romero and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. As well, we have to remember his favorite fur babies, Odie, Bumper and Olie.

Ben had a gift for connecting with people—he never met a stranger and could turn a simple conversation into a lifelong friendship. He loved the outdoors, camping in his favorite spot in Ouray, Colorado, hiking, and exploring mountain trails with his Jeep and Dodge Ram. A Harley Davidson enthusiast, he built his own bike from scratch, a true reflection of his adventurous spirit.

Always ready to help anyone in need, Ben's generosity and warmth left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was also a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan and he so loved going to a home game.

A celebration of Life Service will be held at Koinonia Church – 10405 Comanche Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111 on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, with a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
