Asusena "Susie" Maria Mendoza, 73, died peacefully on March 4, 2022 in her home in Corrales, NM. She was born July 2, 1948, in Albuquerque, NM, the daughter of Juan and Beronis (Arellano) Maestas.

Susie retired from a 20 year career from the State of New Mexico, Child Support Enforcement Division. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and knitting. She'd never turn down a treat while watching her westerns.

In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her son, Donald P. Maestas Sr, Brothers; Emilio Maestas, Filiberto Maestas, Isidoro Maestas and sister Ernestina Trujillo.

Susie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Camilo Mendoza, Daughters; Marilyn Martinez, Cecilia Mendoza, and Pamela Predika and husband Brian, Grandchildren; Veronica M., Kelly M., Christina E., Donald M. Jr., Manual G. Jr., Savannah P., Diego M., Enrique M., Marissa P. and great-grandchildren; Xathena, Gabriella, Ezio, Makenna, Thaliana. Brothers; Reyes Maestas, Ramon Maestas, Sisters; Grace Perea, Jeanna Gallegos, Delfina Gallegos; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss her dearly.

Visitation, rosary and mass will be held on March 18, 2022 starting at 9:00 a.m. at the San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales, NM. The burial will be celebrated at the San Ysidro Cemetery in Corrales. Reception to follow at San Ysidro Parish Hall.
