Arturo Gallegos was born May 9, 1940 in Sena, New Mexico.  He passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at the age of 81.

Preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Aneda Gallegos; siblings,  Teresa Padilla, Helen Gallegos, Adan Gallegos, Isidro Gallegos.

Arturo is survived by his siblings, Agnes Salazar, Luciano Gallegos and wife Estella, Fann Marczyk and Reymundo Lucero; nieces and nephews, Robert Salazar, Everett Salazar, Michael Salazar, Samuel Salazar, Geraldine Salazar, Anthony Padilla, Germaine Padilla, Bridget Padilla, Cynthia Ewing, Gail Rodriguez, Adam Gallegos, Christina Quintana, Karen Gonzales, Walter Gallegos, Ernest Gallegos, John Gallegos, Kim Gallegos, Donna Gallegos and Yolanda Garcia; as well as many great nieces and nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him.

Arturo was a member of the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Parish in Villanueva. He was known by family and friend as "Uncle Tudy". Tudy worked construction and farming most of his life. He loved children and enjoyed dancing, rodeos, music, and socializing with friends and family. Tudy enjoyed helping his community and helped many families in the Sena area in various ways, as well, he took care of his elderly parents for many years.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Villanueva, New Mexico on Friday, December 10, 2021. The Rosary will be recited at 9:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am. Interment will then take place at the cemetery in Sena, New Mexico, followed by a reception for family and friends at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Hall in Villanueva.
