Andrew Leo Cordova, age 80, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 2 ^nd , 2023.  Andrew was born in Denver, Colorado on July 13, 1942 to Jose Cordova and Porfidia Olivas.

Andrew, was a proud Veteran who honorably served his country in the US Army. He worked in mining for the majority of his life and he greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Andrew was a kind, loving soul and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

He is survived by one daughter, Diana Yvonne Cordova of Reno, Nevada; son, Jason Cruz Cordova of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandsons, Xavier Gomez-Cordova of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Brandon Atencio of Santa Fe, New Mexico; great granddaughter, Brooklynn Atencio of Santa Fe, New Mexico; sisters, Joann (Manuel) Sanchez of Denver, CO and Shirley Cruz (Lee Lucero) of Denver, CO, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends who loved him greatly. Andrew was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Silva Cordova on July 31, 2003 and by his son, Mark Anthony Cordova on March 26, 2016.

In accordance with Andrew's wishes, he has been cremated and will rest peacefully at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico with his wife, Bertha. A private celebration of life will follow in June.
