Alice Jane Garcia, 78, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering devotion to those she loved, and the warmth she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her.

Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lauriano Garcia, and her sister, Mary Ann Davila.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory, including her sons, Daniel Garcia, David Garcia, and Louie Garcia and his wife, Anna; her daughters, Yvonne De La Torre and her husband, Fidel, and Gretta Aragon. She is also survived by her beloved granddaughter, Moriah Garcia, whom she lovingly helped raise, and Moriah's husband, Dean Chenoweth, as well as ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Alice found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved coloring, preparing meals for her family, caring for her husband, and dedicating herself to raising her grandchildren. Her home was always filled with love, comfort, and the warmth of her generous spirit.

Throughout her career, Alice worked in the hospital, where she had the privilege of helping welcome countless new babies into the world. Her compassion, kindness, and dedication touched the lives of many families, making a lasting difference in her community.

Alice's legacy is one of love, selflessness, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 4001 12 Th. St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107, with Pastor Gene Baca officiating.
