A beloved father, Tata, and friend. Alfred (Al) Baca, 79 years old of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday November 29, 2024.
Alfred Baca was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 19, 1945, to his parents Filiberto Baca and Beatrice Meyers. Alfred (Al) Baca was known to be a dedicated worker since the age of 11 learning his trade in the butchering business. Alfred (Al) Baca started his own business in the early 1980s known as Al's Quality Meats, which he ran side by side with his wife Veda and later his daughter, Cynthia. For over 30 years, Alfred supplied to highly know restaurants around the city such as Bob's Burgers, Monte Carlo, Kathy's Carryout, Mary & Tito's and many more.
For those that knew Alfred (Al) knew he was always busy working in his garages, on cars or other projects or in his garden during the warmer seasons. He loved his hobbies that kept him busy, but the one thing he valued the most was his family. The love for his family and the love from his family kept him going above all odds, and those memories will be carried on in their hearts.
Alfred (Al) Baca was preceded in death by his wife, and love of his life, Veda Ruth Baca, and other loved ones.
He is survived by Cynthia Sanchez, daughter; Daniel Sanchez, son-in law; Eva Altamirano, granddaughter; Jacob Altamirano, grandson; Veda Deeana McCampbell, granddaughter; Connor McCampbell, grandson; Evette Altamirano, great-granddaughter; and Amelia Altamirano, great-granddaughter and many blessed friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ruben Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez, Eleno Candelaria, Connor McCampbell, Joseph Armenta and Jacob Altamirano.
