Agustin (Austin) A Duran

September 26, 1934 - February 21, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Agustin (Austin) A Duran, who left us on February 21, 2025, at the age of 90.  He lived at the home of his daughter, Margie & Ernie Rubi for 9 years and was surrounded by his loving family, in his final moments, he died in peace.

Our father was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico (El Porvenir) on September 26, 1934, to the parents of Luis & Eloisa Duran.  He started his career with the Forest Service, then he served in the US Army for 7 yrs & retired from the US Postal Service after 31 yrs.   He was a hardworking man, his hobbies were gardening and landscaping.  He had a beautiful passion and knowledge of plants, flowers & trees.  His hard work at home consisted of cutting wood, fixing cars & was able to fix almost anything.

Agustin (Austin) Duran was preceded in death by Adonelia (Lori) Duran, his wife of 53 yrs.  He is survived by his 6 children: Margie (Ernie) Rubi, David (Camella) Duran, Rosanne (Brenda) Duran, Patrick Duran, Veronica Duran, and Lena (Ken) Otteni, 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Our father's example to his children of honoring our Lord on a daily basis will be a cherished memory, he was a pillar of strength and integrity that, will stay with us forever.  His absence leaves a void in our hearts; however, we find peace knowing that Daddy is holding Mom's hand again.
