Obituary

Aaron Gregory Kopacka
March 15, 1982 - July 2, 2026

Aaron Kopacka was born on March 15, 1982 in San Antonio, Texas to Greg and Roxanne Kopacka.
He lived a life of love, loyalty, generosity and devotion to his family. His infectious smile, kind heart and willingness to help those in need left a lasting impression on anyone he met.

Aaron grew up with a love for baseball, eagerly cheering on Ken Griffey Jr. He stated that his most exciting baseball experience ever was "every time I step on the field on game day" His hobbies also included model cars which evolved to an affinity of working on cars, a skill he developed while serving as Seargent in the Army National Guard for many years where he lead with strength and humility.

Aaron married his devoted wife Angel in the spring of 2022 and honored their love and commitment on anniversaries by gifting her with a tribute to each year of marriage. He recently redesigned their yard with "fruits and flowers" to celebrate his daughter Izzy's graduation from high school.

Aaron deeply loved and admired his daughter Isabelle "Izzy" for having such determination in anything she sets herself to accomplish. Aaron was incredibly proud of his children. He recently established Kopax Collects with his son Calvin, sharing not only a hobby but a dream. Aaron's bond with Avalynn was unique. She was his shopping buddy, sidekick and constant companion. Whether they were playing chess, spending the day at work together or untangling her hair, they truly enjoyed each other's company. Aaron genuinely showed his children what a father's love looks like - with patience, encouragement and unconditional love.

Aaron cherished his parents Greg and Roxanne and shares a strong bond with his brother A.J. Family meant everything to him.

Aaron's relationship with Jesus Christ became the foundation of his life and his faith transformed the way he loved and cared for others. Although his family grieves his absence, they find peace knowing he is whole, healed and in the presence of the Savior.

Aaron is survived by his beloved wife, Angel Kopacka; children, Isabelle "Izzy" Kopacka, Calvin Kopacka and Avalynn Salazar; his parents, Gregory and Roxanne Kopacka; his brother, A.J. Kopacka; and many extended family members, teammates and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Every conversation between Aaron and Angel ended in the same way: "I love you. See you on the other side." It was more than a farewell - it was a promise rooted in faith.
